In the world we live in, people of all religions, races, and creeds have believed to run for either one of the two things by and large. The first type of individuals either thrive to know what is true and dig deeper into matters that offend them, or the 2nd type of individuals who just want to pursue things to their convenience. Their primary goal is not to bump into anything that clashes with their worldview.

The first kind of people are generally on the Truth quest of all matters. And the second type of people are on a Happiness quest ie.. not to question things that are presented to them and follow whatever makes them happy.

Most people are not on a Truth quest but on a happiness quest.- Frank Turek

It is true that most people do not want to know anything that is out of their comfort zone. They would appreciate a beautiful and comforting lie than to swallow the bitter red pill of the truth.

To better understand this, let me explain the same concept via a story.

One day, Truth and Lie met in a far-off town.

Lie said to Truth, “Good day, Mr. Truth.” Hearing that, Truth looked up in the sky to check if indeed it was a good day. He checked and there were no clouds, several birds sang, and seeing that it was actually a good day, he replied to Lie, “Good day to you too Mr. Lie.”

“It is very hot today”, said Lie. And Truth seeing that Lie has spoken the truth, relaxed.

Lie then invited Truth to bathe in a river nearby. Lie took off his clothes, jumped in the river, and said, “Come, Mr. Truth, the water is great!”. And Truth without doubting Lie took off his clothes and plunged in the water as well.

Lie had deceit in his heart. He then quickly got out of the water and dressed in the clothes that Truth had taken off. Lie was now dressed as Truth.

However, Truth refused to dress in the clothes of Lie. Truth had nothing to hide and having nothing to be ashamed of, walked naked in the streets.

The people of that town after witnessing this, adored Lie who was now dressed as Truth but abused Truth because he was walking naked in front of them.

So what is the moral of this short story? The moral is: It is easier to accept a lie dressed as truth than to accept the naked truth.

Our enemy, and the god of this world: satan is a master deceiver because he knows to blend just the right amount of truth with a lie to make it attractive to you. If you are on a happiness quest, the truth or the naked truth will offend you. But if you are truly seeking the truth no matter what, you will see through the lies and traps of this world and will efficiently escape its evil, sugar-coated grips.

So are you on a Truth quest? Do think about this. Most are not.

As an unbeliever, I was soo obsessed to know the truth about my soul and where is its final destiny, I came to know the true Savior at the end of my Truth quest. I have also written a book on this.
